The GoodHour Studio case study
The GoodHour Studio is a personal creative space where the creator shares illustrations and explores their own style. It’s built around the simple idea of having a “good hour” away from everyday life to enjoy art, create and do something they love.

The GoodHour Studio is a personal art space created around those quiet moments spent doing something you love. The name comes from that one good hour away from work and everyday life a little time to create, explore art and enjoy a hobby that has been loved since childhood.
The goal was to capture that feeling of a cozy autumn evening spent in your own little corner, creating just for yourself. The brand was designed to feel warm, friendly and personal, with a hand-drawn illustration style that reflects the joy of creating.
I started by understanding the client’s vision through a questionnaire about their brand story, audience, goals and the feeling they wanted their brand to give. These answers gave me a clear starting point for the visual direction for the moodboard.
For The GoodHour Studio, the focus was on creating the feeling of an autumn, cozy hour spent away from everyday life. A small moment that belongs to her and her love for illustration and drawing. This became the foundation for the moodboard and the warm, personal direction of the brand.
After the founder reviewed each direction and read the reasonings, Moodboard 1 was selected.

I then started exploring different ideas by sketching directly on my iPad in Procreate.
I kept experimenting with different shapes and concepts until I found a direction that felt right for The GoodHour Studio. From there I then continued refining the idea until I reached a result that felt true to the brand and its story.
Feedback on first concept
The client immediately connected with the window concept and loved the cinematic feel of the logo. The concept felt personal to her without being overly literal, bringing the idea of creating after hours into the identity in a simple, visual way.
